Ron Buxton

I have lived in Hatton for over 20 years and have been a member of Hatton Parish Council since 1998 and chairman since 2000. I was heavily involved in the flooding disaster in the village in 2000 and was subsequently closely involved with the District Council and local MP in obtaining a range of flood alleviation works for the village. As a Chartered Chemist, I established Particle Technology Ltd in 1990 which successfully operates from the Hatton industrial estate, exporting 50% of its output throughout the world. The company houses the largest dust testing facilities in Europe. I am a member of several national and international committees, including groups of the Royal Society of Chemistry and British Standards Institution. I am a keen Rugby follower and have worked for Burton Mini Juniors as treasurer for several years.
