Councillor Ben Stuart

I am very proud to have been elected as councillor for Church Gresley ward.  I have lived in the ward for over 20 years and have brought up a young family.

Although originally from North Yorkshire, I’ve felt very settled in South Derbyshire and like to contribute to the community that has made me feel so welcome.  I have a good relationship with several other community leaders in the area and am a passionate custodian of the local sections of the National Cycle Network as a volunteer ranger.  My wife has been a school governor in the ward for many years and also runs a Brownie Unit locally at which I’m a unit helper.  My children have been active members of their school communities and also within Girlguiding and are keen dancers.

I want to share my positive experiences and ensure that current and future generations can benefit from these.  I aim to be approachable and work hard within Council and ensure the voice of our residents is heard in the chamber via the contact details shown, at a forthcoming surgery and around the ward.
