Biography:

Neil Atkin was first elected to South Derbyshire District Council in May 2003 and currently lives in Stenson. Neil has been the Authority Chairman twice 2010/11 and 2014/15. He serves on a number of outside bodies to include Donington Park Racing Circuit Liaison Committee and  also East Midlands Airport Consultative Committee (ICC) and Elvaston Castle Garden Trust Sub-Committee. 

Neil has served on many committees over the years representing the wards best interests. He currently serves on the Overview and Scrutiny Panel, licensing, Standards and the Audit Sub-Committee. 

During his term of office, he is currently the Member Champion for the Armed Forces Covenant. 

Neil is also an Elected Representative for Aston Division at Derbyshire County Council since 2017.
