Biography:
I was first elected as one of the Members representing the Repton Ward of South Derbyshire District Council in July 1997. I have always been involved with statutory committee work associated with planning and licensing. In May 2007 my political group gained the leadership of the Council and I became Chairman of the Environmental and Development Services Committee complemented by membership of the Finance and Management and Development Control Committees. This gives me the opportunity to help South Derbyshire to meet the challenge of unprecedented growth whilst working with you to ensure that increased prosperity is not achieved at the expense of our beautiful District.
