I was elected to South Derbyshire District council on 15 June 2023.
I live in Hilton with my wife – and I am proud to serve the people of Hilton, Church Broughton, Foston and Scropton, Sutton-on-the-Hill, and Marston-on-Dove.
In addition to my role as District Councillor for Hilton, I serve as Deputy Leader of the Conservative Group and, therefore, Deputy Leader of the Opposition. I am also Deputy Chair of the South Derbyshire Conservative Association.
I work as a solicitor and senior investigator for an international organisation. I am also an accredited mediator specialising in commercial disputes.
I have undertaken many years of public service, notably as a Leicester City Councillor (4-year term), as a school governor, and as a charity trustee. I served previously as a board member of the Leicestershire Police Authority, where I led efforts to save more than 200 policing jobs.
I am proud of Britain’s values and traditions, and I believe in the ideals and institutions of our democracy. Throughout my legal, regulatory, and political careers I have worked hard to uphold the rule of law and challenge corruption and misconduct, as well as scrutinise power, solve problems, and save jobs.
